One of us brought in our bird guides from home to share with our friends. This got us taking about the different birds we had seen. Someone asked what the biggest bird in our country was? So we set off finding out. We discovered it was the white-tailed eagle, with a wingspan of up to 2.4m! Some of us asked how big this was so we decided to measure it out. Our small rulers weren't big enough so we had to borrow some meter rulers from school. Once we had measured it we couldn't believe how long it was! 2 of us could fit in it's wingspan and it was even bigger than Mrs Ayling who we decided was the tallest adult in our class!
