Our Vision and Values

At Athersley South Primary School our children are at the heart of everything we do.  We believe every child deserves to be successful, to enjoy learning and to develop their individual talents. This is what our Children, Parents, Teachers and Governors say about our school...
Picture
To support our children in achieving their full potential our school aims to provide a flexible, challenging and purposeful curriculum that is relevant to our children and prepares them for the responsibilities and experiences of life. We believe in the importance of children being good communicators, the promotion of children’s creativity and the development of their own ideas. Our aim is to provide a caring, stimulating and enjoyable environment in which children feel respected and supported. We value the partnership between home, school and the community, recognising the importance of respecting religious and moral values, opposing racism and bullying in any form and ensuring equal opportunities for all. We have high expectations of all our children, our staff and our community. Our school is a happy place to be where everyone has the opportunity to succeed. We very much hope you enjoy your visit to our website and value your feedback.
