This week we have been learning that some people around the world celebrate Chinese New Year, as part of our British Values, we understand that some people celebrate the same things and some people do not celebrate the same things and that is okay.
We had a big discussion around foods that we eat when we celebrate or spend time with our families. Some of our children like ordering food on a Friday night with their families, some enjoy having a roast dinner at a relatives, some have cake and candles and some children have pizza parties! We talked about different foods that people eat all around the world - the children found that some foods are the same as they enjoy and there were others that our children were less familiar with. Today, the children helped prepare and make a stir fry for everyone to try. The children carefully chopped the vegetables before the stir fry was cooked. All the children had a taste of the stir fry and lots of children really liked eating the noodles and vegetables. Comments are closed.
