At Athersley South Primary School we are all ambasadors for kind words and keeping each other safe and happy. As part of anti-bullying week we all took part in odd socks day. We wore odd socks to show that we are determind to stamp out bullying and are working hard to spread kindness and happiness instead. This years moto is 'make a noise!' We all enjoyed danicing and singing along to the song and shared who we could 'make a noise to' if someone was being unkind to us. This week in class 1 we have been developing our understanding of numbers and looking at the biggest and smallest numbers in the group. We have also been using symbols to show more than >, less than < or equal to = and using them to create a number sentence.
Oscar has been practising this independently in our provision areas using the stem sentence '___is greater than ____', ' ___ is less than___' or '____ is equal to ____'. He proudly went to show his work to Mrs Sanderson and Mrs Belfield (the maths leader). We are all very poud of your hard work and perseverance when it comes to your maths work, well done and keep up the hard work! |
