In Miss Milner's math's group we have been learning how to compare numbers up to 20 using the words greater than, less than and equal to. Today we have been using different objects to help us to order these numbers. We used different amounts of objects such as cubes, counters and beads to help us to order three different amounts from greatest to smallest and smallest to the greatest. Firstly we used cubes first to help us make the numbers given to us and then ordered them from greatest to smallest. We then had to use tens frames and counters with a partner to find numbers that were greater and less than the number given. We had to then think of a number that would be smaller than the smallest amount and greater than the greatest amount we had. We were all working really hard. Take a look at our fab number skills! 😊 |
