Maths -Division by Sharing

We are looking at how to multiply and divide in our Maths sessions this term. On Thursday, we looked at how to divide by sharing. The children were given different amounts of bean bags and we had to share them between the hoops. All of the children were thoroughly engaged and this helped them back in the classroom where they continued to use sharing to divide.

We had a really fun math's session where we had to divide our shapes between a number of hoops. This helped the children learn about sharing and they enjoyed sharing in groups.

We discussed how to divide by sharing on Thursday. The youngsters were given varying numbers of bean bags, which we had to distribute amongst the hoops. All of the students were fully involved, which aided them in their return to the school, where they continued to utilise sharing to divide.
