My world and me

As part of our Geography topic 'My World and Me' we have been looking at the different geographical features of the Earth.
We can identify the 7 continents and 5 oceans as well as where the United Kingdom is on a map.
We learned that the Earth has North and South poles, where the weather is freezing cold. We also learned about the equator, an invisible line that runs across the center of the Earth - making the weather extremely hot as it gets the most sunshine!
​We also looked at the human (man made) and physical (natural) features in two contrasting countries - England and Equador.
We then looked around out local area to identify some of the geographical features we could see around us.
