In music we have been using Charanga to learn about the genre of Reggae music. We have been listening to and appraising different reggae songs and playing along with our desk bells. Don't forget, you can use your Charanga login to listen to the reggae unit at home and join in with some of the activities.
We read the story of The Very Hungry Worry Monsters and thought it was really funny. We then talked about the worries that we sometime have and what we can do about them. We all agreed that keeping the worry to yourself can make it grow so it's always best to tell someone who might be able to help. These are pictures of our own Worry Monster creations to scare aware your worries.
Mrs Roberts' writing group have been looking at persuasive writing over the last couple of weeks. We have been learning all about the features and looking at different adverts to see how they cleverly persuade us to buy their product. We are currently writing our own adverts to persuade you to buy a toy. We have been learning all about shape during our Maths lessons this half term. Children have been spotting shapes in their environment and went on a shape hunt around the school. We have been learning the names of different shapes and talking about the sides and vertices of 2D shapes as well as the faces, edges and vertices of 3D shapes. Here we are problem solving and using our reasoning skills to make different 2D shapes. |
