KS1 have been lucky enough to visit the Yorkshire Wildlife Park as part of out 'Let's Go On Safari' topic in Geography. We really enjoyed looking at all of the different animals, finding out about which country they were from and how the Safari Park had made them feel at home by creating a comfortable habitat for them. We will be looking at where the countries are on our class globe. Our highlights of the day were the Lemurs as we got to get really close to them, and the cheeky monkeys. The monkeys were very funny and made us laugh. We also watched a creepy crawly show whilst eating our lunch! We feel very lucky to have been on such a fun and exciting adventure today! For a lot of us this is our first class trip and we all had the best time! We had lots of fun creating Jubilee decorations and learning all about Queen Elizabeth II. We made our own celebratory afternoon tea and had lots of fun playing with our friends in KS1. We finished the celebrations with a whole school afternoon tea where we all got to sit together.
