In PHSCE we have been talking about the people that are important to us in our lives and the sort of relationships that we have. In this lesson, we talked about what it is to be a good friend and chose some keywords that we think are important.
In maths, we have been learning all about money. We have looked at how to identify the value of different coins and notes; how to count mixed coins and how to select the correct amount.
This week we played along to the song that we have been learning on the glockenspiels. After we learned the notes, we focused on playing the correct rhythm in time. We loved challenging ourselves by trying more difficult rhythms at the end!
Earlier this week, KS1 had another visit from a special visitor. Steph, a dental nurse from Barnsley, came to tell us all about her important job. We looked at the equipment that she uses and learned how to keep our teeth clean and healthy. We also talked about the steps that they take in order to keep everything clean so that germs don't get spread about. We talked about the difference between healthcare now and during Florence Nightingale's time.
