Monday 15th November was odd socks day. We came to school wearing our odd socks and had some fun checking out each others socks.
In our history topic Guy Fawkes we acted out the plot. We created the story by working together and then role playing the events that led to Guy Fawkes arrest.
In PSHCE we have been talking about people being unkind to me or others and who we can tell. We used our circle time to explore this subject and we now understand that it is unkind to hurt other people either by what we say or what we do.
In computing we have been using a new program called Paintz. We have been learning how to control the mouse and use different tools for effect. One of our children created this masterpiece.
; We had a fantastic afternoon competing to get points for our teams. In the end, it was the Eagles who were victorious, but everyone had a fabulous time and did their very best. There was a lot of hard work, a lot of concentration but most of all, a lot of smiling.
A great big thank you to Mr Gorner for organising such a super afternoon; to Mrs White for collating all the scores; to Mrs Roberts for taking all the fantastic photographs; Miss Milner for getting everyone into the right race at the right time and to Mrs Symons, Mrs Severn, Mrs Illingsworth and Miss O'Neill for helping to make everything run smoothly. We mustn't forget Mrs Sanderson who provided everyone with a much needed ice pop at half time.
We all wore odd socks today to show everyone that it is OK to be different.
Can you work out whose socks these are?
How amazingly silly do we all look in our pyjamas? it is all in a good cause because we are raising money for children in need.
We might be in our pyjamas,
but we are wide awake and ready to work.
We are studying patterns in art. We have looked at Poonac art and created our own work based on their ideas. We also took our pencils for a walk on a piece of paper and used different patterns to fill each section. Then we put everyone's work together to create one big piece of art work which we are very pleased with.
