Today the children explored a range of fruit and vegetables. They first looked at the food whole and used their senses to describe how they looked, felt and smelled. The children then had the chance to try all of the fruit and vegetables. 
I was very impressed with class 2 as they were all willing to try new things and some even tried everything we had.
Lots of children discovered new fruits and vegetables that they really liked! 
Strawberries and pineapple were the most popular along with cucumber and peas. Not many people liked the spring onion or avocado though!

Today the children started their new DT topic and explored a range of different fruits and vegetables. We discovered where they grow and at what time of year. The children were super at identifying the fruit and vegetables and were surprised to find out that cucumbers and peppers are both fruit! We also looked at more uncommon types of fruit and vegetables like squash and avocado.
