There are no jobs that are too big or small for our builders and creators! The children have worked on developing their imagination, creativity, problem solving, working collaboratively and also developing their mark making and mathematical skills. It is all in a days work for these super stars. The children have loved observing and finding our facts about the caterpillars. The caterpillars are in their final stage, we cannot wait to see them turn into beautiful butterflies. This week we have been looking at different 2D shapes and describing their properties. The children have done so well in remembering shape facts of 2D shapes - circle, oval, square, pentagon, triangle, rectangle and hexagon. The children used their shape knowledge in other areas of our provision too. Today we had a very special caterpillar delivery. We are fascinated by the caterpillar life cycle and cannot wait to observe the changes our caterpillars make over the next few weeks! |
