Diary Writing

We have begun writing our diaries this week. We are writing as a child experiencing the Blitz during WW2. I cannot wait to read to finished published diaries because the drafts are looking amazing.
Some of the powerful vocabulary I have seen so far includes:

• the perpetual, blaring siren rang in my ears
• ​fear swelled inside me like a venomous bubble
• the air was abuzz with the drone of engines
• it looked as if the city were enveloped in a thick fog

Everyone is trying their best to create a powerful and captivating atmosphere; I am super excited to read the final versions!
