Yorkshire Sculpture Park

What a day we have had!

Today, all of year 3 and 4 visited the Yorkshire Sculpture Park to add to our knowledge of sculptures that we have been learning about in art. We were lucky enough to experience a Walk, Talk, Make Workshop where we had an artist guide us around some of the sculptures in the park and tell us all about them. We received our own mini sketching pad and at each sculpture, we sketched what we could see from different view points. The children were so enthused and gave some fantastic contributions when discussing the abstract art pieces. We also had mini team activities where we made our own sculptures from leaves and plasticine. We then had time to explore some more of the grounds after lunch and what fun we have had!
