In Class One we have been celebrating that everyone is different and proudly wore our odd socks in support of antibullying week, check out our odd socks!
We looked at the slogan for this year 'Choose Respect'. We also throught about how we can 'Choose Respect' in our school life and home life. We enjoyed siging the Andy and his odd socks gang. In class 1 we look forward to our weekly music lessons this week we have been performing a well known song 'Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes' as well as adding some musical notes to our song on the glockenspiels, check us out! In Class One we are trying super hard to develop our counting skills, we have really blown the teachers socks off this week counting forwars and backwards! We have been practising counting, recognising numbers in different forms, both as numerals and pictorally, as well as ordering numbers and counting in the areas. We have been singing counting songs and hunted for numbers in our setting. We are working hard and always up for a challenge!
Class one had the best time visiting our local library, we found out about how to become a member, how to join in the summer reading challenge and how a library is organised so that we can find the books we enjoy reading. We put our new skills to the test in a lirary book hunt. This was our first visit but will definately not be our last!
We have worked really hard and learnt so much so far this year and could't wait to show everyone everything we have achieved. All of the children were so brave and made all of the adults proud by learning their lines and using big, confident voices so that everyone could hear them. Well done Class One you are all amazing! Keep up the hard work. |
